In order to increase he brightness of this unit an imperceptible amount over the HC 1500 Mitsubishi used an inferior color wheel. At only 2x this projector is not usable with black and white films or fast media without seeing bright colored bands every time you blink or shift your focus. A small decrease in lumens would be well worth a faster color wheel.
